About one-third of the 300 children are boarders, including 10 who have  finished  primary education at the Rubaga Community School and now attend secondary schools elsewhere in town. They have been brought up since childhood at the Rubaga  School, which is still their home.

Bunk beds on the top floor. Utilization of this part of the building was funded by the private Danish charity organization, International Child Welfare Service
Each boarding student stows away all belongings in a small box or suitcase
