Three old computers in the computer lab limited teaching of computer skills to the many students.
In March 2008, Richard Flieger, Computer Renaissance, Tucson donated 5 computers to the school. One was broken during transport, one replaced an old office computer, an three were used to improve computer education.
James Wamala is in charge of computer education. He was brought up at the Rubaga School and returned to the school after finishing teacher's education.
Twelve very enthusiastic teachers manage to maintain a high educational standard under difficult conditions.
They also create a warm and loving atmosphere for the children, most of them without family care.

James was brought up at the Rubaga Community School. After finishing his teacher's education, he is happy to be back .

Toward full-class computer instruction
In January 2011, $4,017 from the Pima Rotary Club computer lab project was transferred to the school, (see also Support Program). Eight new state-of -the-art laptops were added to the inventory in the computer lab, so that instruction at class level became possible. This is an important step toward systematic education in the use of computers.
